EIS Scheme
Beer & Partners EIS Scheme
The Beer & Partners EIS Scheme makes it possible for investors to have a tax efficient diversified portfolio of unquoted investments without hands on involvement.
Companies which meet qualifying criteria, including having the potential to achieve multiple returns for investors, are identified from a number of sources, as well as Beer & Partners.
The Investment Advisory team is led by Simon Hunt, who has a successful track record as a Business Angel, having invested personally in around 40 early stage companies.
Potential investee companies are assessed and due diligence is carried out with the help of an Advisory Panel of industry experts, whose members and resources are available also to support the progress of companies to achieve a successful exit for investors.
The Scheme Manager is Partnership Incorporations Limited, approved and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
Since the Scheme’s first closing in March 2009, three investments have been completed and a number of other potential investee companies are undergoing the assessment and due diligence process.
Investors are invited to subscribe a minimum of £25,000 to the Beer & Partners EIS Scheme, to invest alongside Simon Hunt who has himself subscribed in excess of £250,000 to the Scheme.
An IRR of 20% is targeted, before taking into account the tax benefits of EIS eligible investments, which include:
• Income tax relief at 20%
• Capacity to defer existing CGT liability
• CGT is not chargeable on realised gains
• Exemption from Inheritance Tax.
