There are tremendous Life Sciences opportunities related to diagnostics, medical devices, drugs, IT, instruments and cleantech - to name a few areas.
The capitalisation of Life Science businesses in public markets and in private hands is massive. Powerful Life Sciences industries, wanting to sustain their growth, have well developed appetites for innovation, acquisition and in-licensing.
In-licensing is a well developed practice in the Life Sciences sector. Many of our clients expect to reach a highly satisfactory level of growth with licence deals and then exit before their product is actually used by a customer. There are also plenty of areas in which modest capital can bring a business to full commercialisation and exit opportunities within quite short timescales - in some cases, such as pre-IPO businesses, less than a year.
