Steve

Steve is a Mechanical Engineer and developed his early career with large corporates (ie Davy Corporation, Trafalgar House and Willis Corroon) where, as CEO for various subsidiaries, he gained a broad management experience including M&A activity. In the mid 90s he led and invested in a BIMBO transaction acquiring a subsidiary of Racal plc raising Venture Capital through 3i and LDC.

Following a successful exit from the BIMBO in 1998 Steve became a founder director and investor in a software business in the digital rights management sector; he raised equity backed investment and secured a global development partnership with Kodak gaining extensive experience in North America in the gaming and software markets. In 2002 he set up a manufacturing facility in South Wales and led M&A activity for an AIM listed business in the emergency services sector, eventually the business was sold to an American group in 2005.

Steve joined Beer & Partners in 2005 and was appointed as Regional Director of the Midlands region in 2007 and the Northern region in 2009 developing business angel investment. He is a business consultant in risk management and a business coach through Warwick University. He has invested in several businesses and is a non executive Chairman of a marketing business.
